XML, Extensible Markup Language XML is a standard to define the formula of markup languages. Markup languages define the rules to structure text and images. The XML standard makes a structured representation that can be read by computers, mobile devices,... as well as by us. XML is used to store data in a worldwide used structured form and to send information through the Internet using the same structure. Also AJAX use XML. XML is an easier form of SGML, Standard Generalized Markup Language. The structure of information is what makes XML files so important. Thanks to the clear structure, exchange of data becomes much easier.
